Charm of Tencel
Why Tencel
Tencel (Lyocell fiber) is a kind of wood pulp fiber. It has good moisture absorption and air permeability, and the moisture regain can reach 11.5%. It is similar to silk, has better air permeability than silk, and better thermal conductivity. Therefore, you will feel very cool when touching Tencel fabrics.
Where does Tencel Come From
Tencel fibers come from trees – mainly beech, birch, eucalyptus, and spruce. More accurately, Tencel is made from several types of wood pulp, though it’s most commonly sourced from eucalyptus trees. So it’s believed that tencel is a natural origin, but the finished fiber is technically man-made so we don’t call it a natural fiber or synthetic.
Shillucheng and Tencel
In recent years, the earth has heated up. Although we are only a supplier of bedding sets, we also want to do something for the earth. As a wood pulp extract, Tencel helps minimize environmental impact. And Tencel fibers are certified compostable and biodegradable, so they can be completely back to nature.
Safety Dye
In order to produce safe and bright colors, we follow strict rules and regulations to choose plant dyes. We ban chemicals and processes that could cause serious harm to the producers or consumers.
